Picture
Essential Question(s):

How are previous concepts utilized when calculating numerical derivatives and numerical integrals?

Follow these three steps to complete this "flip" lesson.
STEP 1: Preparation
Title your spiral with the heading above and copy the essential question(s).
STEP 2: Vocabulary & Examples
Copy and define the following of vocabulary. This can be any tables, properties, theorems, terms, phrases or postulates listed. Review the following examples and copy what is necessary for you. Use the guiding questions for your cornell notes.
Derivatives on a Calculator
  1. How can you find a numerical derivative on a calculator? (Ex 1 pg 827) ***note - we don't use the "h" feature.***
Integrals on a Calculator
  1. How can you find a numerical integral on a calculator? (Ex 2 pg 828)
  2. How are numerical integrals applied? (Ex 3 pg 828 - 829)
Computing a Derivative from Data
  1. What are the two ways to get a derivative from a set of data? (above Ex 4 pg 829)
  2. How do you find derivatives from data? (Ex 4 pg 829)
Computing a Definite Integral from Data
  1. How do you approximate a definite integral from a set of data? (pg 830)
  2. How do you calculate a definite integral using data? (Ex 6 pg 831)
STEP 3: Reading
Read the following page(s) and take any extra notes as needed.
