Chapter 2 - Derivatives
In this chapter, we build off of what was covered in Chapter 2 in regards to slopes of tangent lines. "The study of rates of change of functions is called differential calculus, which is called the derivative. The derivative was the 17th-century breakthrough that enabled mathematicians to unlock the secrets of planetary motion and gravitational attraction - of objection changing position over time. We will learn many used for derivatives in Chapter 5, but first, in the next two chapters, we will focus on what derivatives are and how they work."

This lesson will teach students to compute the derivative of a function at x = a using both forms of the limit definition and explain its relationship to slope.

Lesson 2.5 - Derivatives of Trigonometric Functions
This lesson will teach students to determine the derivatives of trigonometric functions.
