• You will have a dedicated spiral for your notes
  
• Notes are completed using the Cornell notes format.
• You will have a separate spiral for your Cognitive Tutor work.
• Taking good notes is an essential skill that must be practiced regularly.
• Be organized and thorough when completing your Cornell notes.
• Use color coding to help make your Cornell notes effective.

Tips for Taking Notes

BEFORE the lesson is covered in class.

(1) Use the agenda to determine which lesson you need to have the notes ready for.

(2) Go to the webpage for the specific lesson.

(3) Complete step 1 in your notes spiral as outlined on the webpage. See the image at the right.

AFTER the lesson is covered in class.

(1) Go to the webpage for the specific lesson covered.

(2) Complete step 2  in your notes spiral as outlined on the webpage. See the image at the right.


(3) Complete step 3 in your separate Mathia Spiral while you work on Mathia. 


(4) Work on step 4 when studying and reviewing for assessments.
